Southern Recollections: Romare Bearden, is inspired by Harlem Renaissance painter, Romare Bearden. Choreographed in eight sections, the thirty minute work depicts a series of collected memories, forging the past and the present. Each section reflects a collage painting of Romare Bearden, and is set to a compilation of compositions that provides an eclectic, and jazzy feel that is vibrant with a sultry style.
